I crossed the infamous Point Pleasant
Bridge over the Ohio River near
Gallipolis. Once in Ohio, I toured the beautiful Hocking County back
roads with its many State Parks worth a side trip anytime.
Crossing Ohio diagonally, I entered the plains of Indiana and
zig-zagged through the cornfields.
Very few roads cut diagonally across northern Indiana. Most are
north/south and east/west. This does help with navigation, but not
with
speed of advance when your route is a diagonal.
Two hours from home, I find myself in Chicago congestion once again,
but at least all is familiar. I visit friends before returning home,
but don't stay long. After all, I would only have 4 weeks before I
leave on my next m/c trip!
